Curried Rice

Curried Rice

Cook Time: 20 mins

Serves: 6 people

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp Kissan Madras Curry Powder
  • 3 tablespoons Kissan Sesame Oil
  • 1 cup long grain rice use basmati rice or Thai jasmine rice
  • ½ Onion
  • ½ Pepper
  • ½ Carrot
  • ½ Broccoli
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Pepper powder
  • 1-1/2 cup Water

Instructions: 

  • Heat the  Kissan Sesame Oil in a large pan to medium heat.
  • Add the onion, peppers, carrots and broccoli, and cook for 5 minutes to soften.
  • Add the Kissan Madras Curry Powder, salt and pepper powder. Stir and cook for 1 minute.
  • Add the rice and hot water and stir.
  • Cover and simmer for 15 minutes, or until the rice has absorbed the liquid and is tender to your preference. If the rice is not done enough, add a bit more hot water and stock and simmer longer.
  • Remove from heat and fluff with a fork. Sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley, and serve.
